Pizza Oven Progress

This is a Outdoor Pizza Oven Project I am working on when time allows! Buy it for $20,000! Or I can make you one at your house

5 Parts Vermiculite 1 Part Portland Cement 2 Parts Water
5″ pieces of Vertical Rebar in 6 spots placed 2″ into Concrete Sticking up 3″ into Oven Base To Secure
Slow Curing with plastic
Keeping it from Freezing
Herringbone Pattern On Oven Floor
4″ Inner Arch Template Ready For Arch To Be Laid
Radius Tool Made From A Wheel Caster

Getting a bit tricky around the opening!
Finally past the arch
Brick angle getting steep!
gets really hard to clean the brick on the inside of the oven now
Looking down through the top at the oven floor
I was using sticks to hold up the bricks, but that is no longer feasible
Trying a gym ball to finish this
Had to raise up the ball a bit
Ball didn’t hold air very well. Ended up using sticks. Just had to put them in from the front opening instead of the top.
Used a sponge tied to a stick to try and clean the mud off the brick! It will have soot soon enough!

Now for the second arch and chimney
Even with lousy wood working skills, and not having a perfectly straight template to brick around, I managed to make them work!

Chimney build up. I cut the front bricks to keep the hole the same.
Built on a landing to cover the front of oven and for one last arch to be built on
Those brick cut on an angle is for the angle of the inside of the chimney as it goes toward the round hole on top
Camas Keystone I made with Sierra mist brick to form the last arch
Oak blend firewood delivered
Time to Cure the oven
Goal of 175degrees for first fire
The Temporary door acts as a damper

Tough to keep it at 175
